Canada officially adopts UN Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples

Minister of Indigenous and Northern Affairs, Carolyn Bennett, announced Canada is now a full supporter, without qualification, of the UNDRIP, committing to “fully adopting this and working to implement it within the laws of Canada, which is our charter.”
